“Richard was awesome!! I highly recommend his tour if you will be visiting NYC. He took time to personalize our tour and also he is very personable himself, giving us tons of information about what to do during the rest of our stay. He was also great with my 9-year-old daughter! She adored him. A tour with Richard is the perfect way to start out a trip to New York.”

“Richard provided us with a once in a lifetime experience. He went above and beyond expectations. He was on time, professional, patient, educated and fun to tour with. . . . Taught how to navigate the subway system. We completed Grand Central Terminal, Little Italy, Chinatown, SoHo, and too many other places to mention. He related to all four of us and we won’t ever forget our visit . . . thank you from our hearts!”

“Richard was absolutely fantastic. We had a full experience of NYC. His knowledge of the history of the city is incredible and he helped us to get the real feel of the city by pointing out perfect sights and places to eat which catered for the entire family. He was patient with the kids (7 and 12) who found some of the walking strenuous! Overall a great experience for all of us!”

Meet Richard Beckerman

Big Apple native Richard Beckerman, a licensed tour guide, loves New York. His personal and professional history is nearly as varied as New York City itself. Richard is the grandson of Eastern European Jewish immigrants, and for twenty-five years he was a professional illustrator, creating artwork for numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone and Newsweek. He also had been an office worker, including ten years in the original World Trade Center. Richard holds a New York State teacher’s license, as well as a Masters in Education. How to Get the Perfect Tour Experience

Third, based on your answers, I think, research, study maps, formulate, and . . .

Voilà, I have a tour planned just for you!

First, you tell me about yourself or yourselves. For example:

  • Where are you from and have you been to New York City before?

  • Do you have particular interests, such as architecture, history or pop culture?

Second, you tell me your tour goals. For example:

  • Do you want to visit as many major attractions and landmarks as possible?

  • Do you want to explore neighborhoods?

  • Do you want to understand the city’s layout and how to navigate it?

Short, Jam-Packed Financial District, Wall Street and 9/11 Memorial Tour

$25/person

New York offers visitors lots of amazing stuff to see, but time is limited.  In 1.5 hours we explore, among other must-see attractions, Wall Street, the Charging Bull and Fearless Girl statues, Trinity Church and the Battery, which overlooks the harbor and the Statue of Liberty.  The group will be small—at most, nine people—for a more individualized experience.
